The Amsterdam metropolitan region functions as a dynamic daily urban system, where living, working and leisure are supported by a robust network of metro and rail stations, highways and bike paths. Under intense housing pressure, this system is unlocking underused and overlooked sites and transforming them into new high-density urban destinations. Entrada, on the western side of Duivendrecht beside the metro station, is one such place: a mono-functional office district where people arrive to work and leave again, with little reason to stay. Yet its infrastructure and accessibility give it exceptional potential to become a thriving green neighbourhood for compact city living. The ambition is to shift Entrada from a commuter landscape to a mixed, complete urban environment—one that feels local, walkable and welcoming, while remaining deeply connected to the wider region.
In the 21st century, domestic luxury is no longer defined by size alone, but by choice and adaptability. At Entrada, this means offering a generous mix of homes—from spacious apartments to more intimate urban villas—alongside the possibility to work close to home, either within the building or by cycling to the city centre for a meeting.
